Patience
Artist: Lyn-Al Young
Acrylic on canvas
Size: H 198 x W 127cms
Story:
“Sands of Time” comes to mind... everything’s moving so fast. How do I catch up? Can I rewind?
Burrai Wula (baby emu) calls out to me ‘’patience!’’
I can see burrai wulas markings in my mind’s eye, they’re like a blue print for their life, as they grow up their markings fade, yet their purpose remains the same.
I believe that’s true for us all… The wind over time changes the landscape, rocks erode, tides change, but the same song sings, the purpose lies beneath the surface.
I feel this piece calls us to empty out the noise and attune our ear to our own life song. Positioning ourselves in patience and peace propels us into our purpose.
