Frequency

$5,500.00

Artist:                 Richard Young

Medium:            Acrylic on Canvas

Size:                   H 122 x W 152cm

Price:                   $5,500

Story:                  When I paint, I’m not just working with colour — I’m feeling with colour. Wurruk Frequency came from tuning in to the flow of the colours as I was layering the paint and connecting with my inner most memories of Gippsland, the sounds you can’t always hear but can always feel. Each mark is part of that rhythm, the songs we sang and the bushland we walked.

This piece is about connection — how everything in Country communicates through energy and frequency. The white swirly lines are the voices of land and memory, looping and flowing like songlines that never stop singing. To me, Wurruk Frequency is what happens when spirit, paint, and heartbeat all move together — when you let nature do the talking.
