Artworks › Warra Warrie (Cleanse and Heal) - Sold

Warra Warrie (Cleanse and Heal) - Sold

$130.00

Artist:                 Lyn-AL Young

Size:                     H 35 x W35 cm

Medium:            Acrylic on canvas

Price:                  $130.00

Story:                  Warra Warrie means to cleanse and heal in Gunnai/Boon Wurrung language.  These are the leaves we use in our smoking ceremonies.  The silver wattle honours our ancestors and elders.  The cherry ballart represents our young ones learning from the past. The eucalyptus leaves speak for this present generation — bridging old and new, and welcoming all who gather to be cleansed by the rising smoke.

This is intergenerational healing: honouring where we’ve come from, looking to where we’re going, and grounding ourselves in the now.  May this piece bring cleansing, healing, and renewed spirit into the space it enters.
